Avenues to Independence

A place to call home: living with independence and dignity 

At Avenues to Independence, over 200 people with intellectual and developmental disabilities live and work with independence and dignity in the community. This has been possible since 1953 because the people of Avenues to Independence continue to put aside old ideas about what is possible and allow our clients to dream big.

For our residents, Avenues is home.

The pandemic made many of us realize how important it is to have a home, the safety that a home provides, and the importance of our homes being a comfortable environment where we enjoy spending time.

The residents at Avenues are no different. We would like to continue to make needed improvements to these homes, which will ensure they are beautiful and safe places for our residents to live with independence and dignity.

This year's Spotlight on Wine is about providing that impactful support so that the people of Avenues can continue to have homes that they are proud to live in and will be accessible for their needs today and in the future. These improvements will help enrich the lives of at least 18 individuals at Avenues.
